The bullet journal is a mindfulness practice disguised as a productivity system. It builds the foundation for how I use my journal. It helps you do three things:

  1. Track the Past
  2. Order the Present
  3. Design the Future

It’s highly customizable, and I recommend checking out the website for basics & advanced stuff. Here’s a great reddit poston getting started.

In this post I’ll go into the details of how I use my journal as the foundation for living an intentional and examined life.

I’m currently trying out A5 dotted Cahiers because I thought it’d be nice to get a fresh start every 2–3 months, but I’ll try out the classic Leuchturm 1917 next.

Emotions to values is an important part of my journaling practice, and keeping the list of questions in sight and always accessible makes it a lot easier. (I print it out and glue it on the back of the cover.)
